Pyrrhus
Where cinematic emotion meets dancefloor momentum

|ARTIST BIOGRAPHY|
Pyrrhus is a Manchester-based electronic artist, DJ and producer crafting emotive melodic breaks, progressive electronica and cinematic club music built around atmosphere, movement and feeling.
Blending dancefloor-focused rhythm with a deeply musical approach to melody, texture and arrangement, Pyrrhus has developed a sound that sits between introspective listening and peak-time energy. His productions move through warm Reese basslines, expansive pads, detailed break-driven rhythms and euphoric melodic peaks, creating records that feel both emotionally resonant and built for sound systems.
Rooted in a background of cinematic composition, orchestral influence, sound design and analogue experimentation, Pyrrhus brings a wide creative palette into his music. Alongside his electronic and progressive work, he continues to explore atmospheric, filmic and orchestral textures — music shaped by space, tension, emotion and release. This ability to move between cinematic stillness and club-focused momentum has become a defining part of his artistic identity.
At the heart of the Pyrrhus sound is contrast: weight and lightness, nostalgia and forward motion, stillness and movement. Drawing inspiration from the spirit of late ’80s and early ’90s rave culture, melodic breaks, progressive house, electronica and modern cinematic music, his work reinterprets these influences through a contemporary lens — creating music that feels expansive, emotional and forward-facing.
2026 has marked a defining chapter for Pyrrhus, with a run of releases and remixes gaining significant momentum across Beatport, radio and the wider melodic electronic scene. His release “With You” with Julia Eliza on Stripped Recordings reached number 1 in the Overall Beatport Electronica Release Top 100, number 1 in the Overall Beatport Electronica Hype Charts, and climbed to number 4 in the Overall Beatport Electronica Chart at the time of writing — continuing a remarkable run of chart success.
That momentum follows a series of standout releases and remixes across respected labels. His remix of Redspace & Yura African’s “Be Free” on Stripped Recordings reached number 1 in the Overall Beatport Electronica Hype Charts and climbed into the upper positions of the Overall Beatport Electronica Chart. “Aura” on Stripped Digital reached number 2 and climbed to number 8 in the Overall Beatport Electronica Chart, holding its position for six consecutive weeks.
His collaborative “Gone To Heaven” EP with Vela on Centrik Records also achieved strong chart success, reaching number 2 and number 3 positions across the Beatport Electronica and Hype charts, while continuing to hold presence in both the Overall Electronica and Overall Hype charts. The release further underlined the strength of Pyrrhus’ collaborative output and his growing reputation within the melodic breaks and progressive space.
Radio support has also played an important role in this chapter. “Little Dove” on Capital Heaven received support on BBC Radio 1 Dance with Jaguar and reached number 10 in the Overall Beatport Breaks / Breakbeat Chart, while his release on Move Music went straight to number 1 in the Beatport Hype Electronica Charts and received continued support across Capital FM and Capital Chill FM over numerous weeks.
Further chart success has followed across multiple releases, including “Life On Mars” on Morphosis Records, which reached number 1 in the Overall Beatport Hype Electronica Charts, and additional releases across labels including Capital Heaven, Move Music, Stripped Digital, Centrik Records and Stripped Recordings. Across his recent catalogue, every Pyrrhus release to date has reached the upper end of the charts or come within touching distance, with a consistent run of number 1, number 2 and number 3 positions across key Beatport Electronica, Hype, Release and Breaks categories.
This sustained momentum has helped establish Pyrrhus as one of the most exciting emerging names within the melodic breaks, electronica and progressive scene. His growing catalogue includes releases across respected labels such as Stripped Recordings, Stripped Digital, Centrik Records, Capital Heaven, Morphosis Records, Prognosis Records, Move Music, Foxtrot Alpha Records and Affiliate Records, alongside releases through his own imprint, Somnia Records.
Working from his Manchester studio, Pyrrhus combines modular synthesis, analogue hardware and digital production in a hands-on creative process. His music is shaped with a strong attention to detail, balancing raw energy with clarity, warmth and atmosphere. Whether producing melodic breaks, progressive club records or more cinematic orchestral pieces, the focus remains the same — music with feeling, movement and purpose.
As a DJ and live performer, Pyrrhus builds sets with a strong sense of journey and flow, weaving together his own productions with forward-thinking selections from across the melodic, progressive and electronic spectrum. His performances are guided by atmosphere, emotion and connection, designed to move between deeper moments and high-impact energy with intention.
Alongside his artist project, Pyrrhus continues to develop Somnia Records as a forward-facing imprint for electronic, melodic breaks and progressive music. With a growing roster of artists and a strong release schedule taking shape, the label forms an important part of his wider creative vision.
Looking ahead, Pyrrhus continues to push further into a sound that bridges cinematic emotion, melodic detail and club-focused rhythm. At its core, the project is about evolution — music for movement, emotion and the spaces in between.
