Today I’m sharing two very special Bandcamp exclusive releases.
Laurent Garnier – Red Faced Man

(Pyrrhus Remake 2026)
Both tracks form part of the second series of my Rewriting History Collection — a personal project built around records that have shaped my journey, marked important moments in my life, and left a lasting connection through music.
Red Faced Man is my homage to Laurent Garnier and one of the most important records in electronic music. Over 20 years ago, I played my first ever DJ set at Sankeys Manchester, and this was the record I opened with. I chose it partly because of its length, giving me time to settle my nerves and ease into the set.
What I didn’t realise at the time was the deep connection this record already had with Sankeys and the people in that room. When it dropped, the whole dancefloor erupted. The venue lifted into this incredible moment of energy and euphoria. That memory has stayed with me ever since.
Years later, I finally felt ready to create my own 2026 edition — keeping the spirit and key elements of the original while bringing my own Pyrrhus sound into it.
For What You Dream Of is a remake created in loving memory of George Bircher.
My close friend Ian Bircher recently told me how much he loved the Trainspotting soundtrack, especially Bedrock – For What You Dream Of featuring KYO, written by John Digweed and Nick Muir. Sadly, in the lead-up to the Infinite Beats event, Ian’s father George passed away.
As a small gesture for my friend, and in honour of his father, I created this remake. Ian will play it for his dad as we come together under one roof to celebrate George’s life through music.
These two releases are very different in story, but both come from the same place — memory, connection, emotion and respect for the music that shaped us.

Somnia Records is an independent electronic music imprint founded by Pyrrhus in 2024, created as a home for emotive, forward-thinking music across electronica, melodic breaks, progressive and cinematic club sounds.
Rooted in the creative world of Pyrrhus, the label reflects the same core values that shape his own music: atmosphere, melody, movement and emotional depth. Somnia was built to champion records that sit between introspective listening and dancefloor energy — music with identity, feeling and purpose.
Since launching, Somnia Records has built steady momentum, with every release to date charting across its respective Beatport categories. This early success has helped establish the label as a growing platform for melodic and progressive electronic music, while continuing to expand its sound and artist roster.
The remainder of the year marks an important next chapter for the imprint, with forthcoming music confirmed from Robin Cooper, Latex Zebra & Mista Twist, Lost Astronaut, Vaim, Vela and Sam T Harper. Further artists are also joining behind the scenes, adding to an increasingly strong and diverse roster of producers across the electronic, melodic breaks and progressive spectrum.
