“Step into the first glimpse of what’s coming — layered melodies, pulsing rhythms, and textures drawn from the heart of creation. This is the sound before it spreads, a private moment for those who arrive first.”

“Music for the DANCE FLOORS!”

I’m thrilled to share that three new releases are on the horizon, all coming with some truly inspiring collaborators. Over the past weeks, I’ve been working closely with Norman, founder of the globally respected London label Stripped Recordings, and we’ve lined up two new tracks to feature across their upcoming release schedule. Aura will appear on their Spring/Summer collection EP, while my collaborative track with Julia is pencilled in for a June release — part of Stripped’s vibrant summer lineup.

On top of that, my track Feel You is set for an official release in April 2026 with the incredible London-based label Move Music. Joelle has this one ready for their summer Ibiza tour, so expect it to find its way into dancefloors and playlists soon.

Exciting times ahead — watch this space for more updates, previews, and where these projects land across radio, DJs, and digital platforms.

“The Story Continues — Pyrrhus Announces Genesis 2026”

PYRRHUS – GENESIS (2026)

Overall Album Write-Up

Genesis is Pyrrhus’ forthcoming debut album, written during a period of personal reflection and creative exploration. Each track is a moment of emotional therapy — a journey through hope, challenge, and discovery. The album blends melodic jazz elements, electronic textures, and soulful rhythms to create a soundscape that is both introspective and uplifting.

Pyrrhus approached this project intuitively, letting the music evolve naturally without concern for trends or expectations, focusing instead on what felt true to the heart and spirit. The result is an album that bridges emotion, rhythm, and melody — capturing moments of personal growth, joy, and contemplation.

Inspired by modern melodic electronic and cinematic textures, Genesis moves fluidly between introspection, playfulness, and forward motion — a narrative of transformation and creative rebirth.

A-ha – Living a Boy’s Adventure Tale (Pyrrhus Remix)

Pyrrhus reimagines this timeless vocal with a breakbeat-driven energy built for the dance floor. The remix leans into the emotional weight of the original performance, letting those unmistakable vocals rise above warm pads and rolling breaks to create something euphoric and uplifting.

Drawing inspiration from hands-on production, the track was shaped using hardware and sampling techniques. Pyrrhus turned to his MPC and vinyl, treating the remix almost like a DJ tool — weaving in subtle scratches and rhythmic cuts that nod to classic old-school turntablism. These moments add texture and nostalgia, blending vintage technique with a modern breakbeat pulse.
The result is a track that feels both reflective and energetic — balancing atmosphere with movement, and emotion with groove.

Released as a free download, this remix is part of a series of giveaway tracks from Pyrrhus throughout the year — a small thank you to everyone supporting the journey and sharing the music along the way.

THE REWORK OF A TRUE CLASSIC

Few records capture a sense of longing and cinematic emotion quite like Living a Boy's Adventure Tale by A-ha. Released during the golden era of synth-driven pop, the track became part of a wider cultural moment where electronic instrumentation and heartfelt songwriting began shaping a new generation of music listeners. With its soaring melodies and unmistakable vocal performance from Morten Harket, the song carried a dreamlike quality that resonated far beyond its time — becoming a quiet favourite among fans of atmospheric and emotive music.

For Pyrrhus, the record represents more than nostalgia; it embodies a spirit of melodic storytelling that continues to influence modern electronic production. In this reinterpretation, that original emotional core is preserved while being re-imagined for a contemporary dancefloor.

Through breakbeat rhythms, layered textures and hands-on sampling techniques, the remix channels the same sense of movement and emotional lift that made the original so memorable. Using hardware tools including MPC sequencing and vinyl manipulation, Pyrrhus introduces subtle turntablism elements that nod to the roots of DJ culture — blending classic techniques with modern electronic production.

The result is a track that bridges generations of sound. Where the original captured hearts through cinematic pop songwriting, this remix reshapes that energy into a modern dancefloor experience — one designed to reconnect listeners with the feeling of discovery that great music can bring.

It is both tribute and transformation: honouring the spirit of the original while guiding it into a new space within contemporary dance culture.

A first glimpse into a new chapter.
Reflections captures an early studio moment, woven with field recordings from the space itself — bringing the room, the air, and the silence into the music.

|Pyrrhus|

“I wanted to create something close, honest, and quietly emotional — a piece that flows as one and holds the feeling of those moments. Every sound, image, and influence forms part of this next body of work. I can’t wait to share where it’s heading.”

Pyrrhus

“Find the artists who move you. Learn how they listen, how they build, how they feel.
Crossing between worlds is what continues to shape my path.
Every day remains a lesson.”

FROM THE STUDIO|

Shaped by a wide spectrum of sound and the quiet spaces in between, Pyrrhus enters a new chapter of creation — guided by curiosity, texture, and hands-on exploration. With the recent addition of the MPC to his studio, the process has become more tactile, instinctive, and rhythm-led.

Rooted in a lifelong connection to hip-hop and rap culture, this foundation now weaves gently into Pyrrhus’ melodic language, opening new pathways between groove, atmosphere, and emotion. It’s a meeting point of old influence and new intention — where writing becomes play, and experimentation becomes instinct.

Driven by visuals, feeling, silence, personal experience, and evolving musical cultures, Pyrrhus continues to search for new ways to translate emotion into sound — allowing each piece to unfold naturally, without boundaries.

A new album, Genesis, arrives in 2026.
But even now, something quietly new is already taking shape.

Watch this space.

“As Bonobo himself has said, his music took shape from a hip-hop and sampler-based approach — a kind of MPC cut-and-paste method that brings organic motion into electronic composition.”

This video captures moments from the creative process — sound design, arrangement, and experimentation — as the track evolves into its own atmospheric, downtempo-infused interpretation. Expect warm textures, dusty tones, and emotionally driven electronic elements blending hip-hop influence with cinematic mood.

Pyrrhus

“Vela has been a constant presence on this journey, shaping not only the music, but the spirit behind it. An enduring inspiration, and above all, a true friend.”

THE CATCH UP|

We caught up with Pyrrhus’ longtime collaborator and close friend, UK progressive artist Vela, inside the studio — reflecting on the quiet momentum behind their recent run of shared releases.

Following the double chart success of Kindred Spirits earlier this year, and the Beatport Exclusive album Elements released last November, the conversation naturally drifts toward process, trust, and the subtle language they’ve built together over time.

Across more than a decade of collaboration, Pyrrhus and Vela have grown side by side — exchanging ideas, shaping sounds, and supporting one another since the early days of the Sequential Records era. What began as a creative connection has evolved into a deep musical dialogue.

Vela’s signature remains unmistakable: driven, tactile percussion, patient harmonic movement, and a refined sense of space that gently pulls the listener inward. It’s this shared sensitivity — and long-standing friendship — that gives Kindred Spirits its name and its meaning.

With multiple new projects already taking form for 2026, the story between Pyrrhus and Vela continues to unfold quietly, deliberately, and with intention.

More to come.

Q&A with vela

1. All-Time Influence

Jam & Spoon — "Odyssey to Anyoona" was a massive one for me back in the day; it taught me how a track could be a true journey. But Burial — "Archangel" was the one that really rewired my brain—it showed me how to find beauty in the grit and how to put a human soul into electronic music.

2. Studio Secret Weapon

My absolute secret weapon is Output Portal. It’s the one plugin I’d smuggle out if the studio was on fire. It’s indispensable because it turns even the most static, boring sound into something granular, alive, and completely unexpected. It’s less about "processing" and more about discovering new textures I didn't know were there.

3. Elements — Personal Favourite

Out of all the tracks, "Gravity" is the one that feels closest to me right now. That was the turning point where I realized we were working on something truly special. It stands out because the chemistry felt effortless, and it really set the sonic benchmark for the rest of the project.

4. The Pyrrhus Sessions

Working with Pyrrhus was amazing because of how our workflows clicked. I’d often have the initial idea for a track or the basic elements down, but I’d struggle with exactly where to take it next. He just had this instinct—he’d know what to do with the vision straight away and we’d get it finished in no time at all. That synergy, where he could see the finish line the moment I showed him the start, really defined this collaboration.

5. 2026 Vision

Looking ahead through 2026, my production is heading into a space that feels much more "alive." I’m moving away from static loops and diving deep into granular synthesis and organic sampling, combined with generative sequencing and randomization. I want my tracks to feel like living organisms that evolve as you listen, rather than just programmed sequences.

6. Studio Hardware Hero

In a room full of gear, the one piece I’d never part with is my Korg Minilogue. There’s a tactile, hands-on immediacy to it that software just can't replicate. It brings a physical weight and an "analog" unpredictability to my sound—sometimes I’ll just start twisting knobs and find a texture that completely changes the direction of a track.

7. Desert Island Listening

It has to be Radiohead — In Rainbows. It is, in my opinion, a perfect record. The way they balanced raw, organic instrumentation with intricate electronic textures is a constant masterclass in production. I could listen to "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi" on loop for the rest of my life and still find new details to get lost in.

Connect with Vela

The journey began with The Butterfly Effect — a debut album that quietly exceeded all expectations, charting across four Beatport World Dance genre spectrums (2nd, 3rd, 5th and 12th). An overwhelming and humbling moment for a first long-form release, and a powerful reminder of what can happen when instinct, patience, and emotion lead the process.

Over the past year, a quiet but meaningful chapter has continued to unfold through a series of Beatport Exclusives released in partnership with Beatport and Strike Force — each project shaped by patience, intention, and countless hours inside the studio.

The collaborative album Elements with Vela resonated widely, charting across four Beatport World Dance genre spectrums and reaching the Top 10 in all four.

The Stillness Between EP followed, charting across four genre categories and achieving Top 10 positions in both the Electronica and Organic House charts, alongside all four tracks entering the Electronica Top 10 singles.

Most recently, Kindred Spirits continued this trajectory — again charting across four Beatport World Dance genres, securing four Top 10 positions, with every track from the EP appearing inside the Top 10 singles charts.

These moments are deeply appreciated, not as milestones alone, but as reflections of connection — between collaborators, platforms, and listeners.

A heartfelt thank you to Vela, Beatport, and Strike Force for the belief and support.
And above all, thank you to everyone who listens, shares, and lives with the music. Your support gives meaning to the unseen hours, the late nights, and the quiet devotion behind every release.
